For twenty years I was a paralegal in London but I had spent years dreaming of being a florist. During yet another dull Monday morning commute, it dawned on me that I had another 27 years until I could retire. I suddenly thought “what am I doing with my life?”. The fear was not of taking a risk to pursue my dream but the fear of not taking the risk and regretting it in years to come. After some thought and planning on how I could achieve my dream, I put my flat in Leighton Buzzard on the market, made plans to move back to my home town of Rugby and enrolled at Moreton Morrell College.
I am now fully qualified and have spent two years working in busy retail florists. I have also recently started competing and after success at the Midlands heat in June, I am through to the final of WorldskillsUK at the NEC from 15-17 November 2018.
My passion for design using flower and plant material means it comes before almost everything else, but if you love what you do it’s not like work!
Whether you have your own ideas, colours and style or you need some inspiration and advice, I can work with you to create something beautiful and befitting of your occasion.
